Each Unit (24 to 60 pages) is about 3 weeks work for a student and comes with a test inserted into the back for easy removal. The separately purchased Score Key comes with the Test Key inserted into the back of it. All units of a particular course must be completed to meet all of the objectives of that course. Starline's 3rd - 8th grade curriculum offers 12 units per year. The 9th - 12th grade curriculum offers 5 units per semester and 10 units per year. Designed with independent learning and Homeschool in mind, Starline is self contained and includes lists of any additional resources needed to complete the units.
